The Beatles Abbey Road WITHOUT ‘Her Majesty’ **LOVELY EARLY VERY 1st pressing** (With misaligned Apple plus original PATENTS APPLIED FOR inner too) 137g *Professionally Cleaned* Fantastic 1969 Beatles UK LP. This was the Beatles’ 12th LP, released on the 26th September. It was also the last official Beatles release that was recorded by them. Staying at number one for almost 18 consecutive weeks, it was only knocked off by The Rolling Stones’ “Let It Bleed.” Catalogue number: Apple PCS 7088 Matrix Number Side 1: 749-2 Matrix Number Side 2: 750-1 Mothers/Stampers Side 1: MLP @ 3 O’clock 4 @ 9 O’clock Mothers/Stampers Side 2: APH @ 2 O’clock 10 @ 9 O’clock Vinyl: QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT 137g VINYL EX- Lovely FLAT & SHINY vinyl. She only carries a few very light and whispy marks. I noticed a soft pop towards the end of track 1. side 1-which popped into track 2…But I did not find it offensive. With a few other short-lived, soft and light pops on one or two other tracks-NOT OFFENSIVE at all-just reminded me I am listening to an ORIGINAL SLAB OF VINYL and not a reprocessed digital file! After I cleaned her on my Pro-Ject VCS MkII Vacuum Record cleaner I had the utter joy of listening to her-all the way through…. I found the vinyl delivered a wonderful clean and clear audio playback….With deep bass and glorious highs too. CERTAINLY NO JUMPS OR SKIPS ON MY FOCUS ONE DECK WITH SMK ARM AND AUDIO TECHNICA STYLUS FITTED. Labels: EX+. There are only a handful of very light spindle marks, seen when angled towards the light…With barely any central hole wear. PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES PROVIDED NO “Sold in the UK…” text. Outer text begins: “Apple Records all rights..” “Mfd. in U.K.” text. The labels are nice and vibrant. This is the 1st pressing DARKER version of this Apple label. Has the ’33 1/3′ to the extreme left. The last song credit DOES NOT HAVE “Her Majesty” on the Side 2 label. NO WRITING. WOULD FRAME WELL. Cover: EX! The cover of this LP is the rarer 1st print cover; with the alignment of the Apple Logo on the back NOT being inline with the text. The spine remains lovely and strong, as well as legible. There are only around 7 crescents of spidering near the opening to the front-nothing bad at all. There are also some small fingers of spidering to the edges-but these really are nothing to worry about. The corners remain strong with just some rubbing. SOLID EX EXAMPLE. NO SPLITS. The alignment of the Apple Logo on the back is OUT OF LINE with the text. *FRAME THIS BEAUTY* Inner: EX-. ORIGINAL “PATENTS APPLIED FOR” inner…These were only issued with the very 1st pressings. This one is in great condition. There are a few small patches of discolouration to the paper-as can be seen in the images provided. Small 3cm split to one side. NO WRITING. Certainly done her job in keeping this very early slab of vinyl in great condition! **A collectors piece in it’s own right** THIS IS A SOLID, EXCELLENT, COMPLETE & COLLECTABLE PIECE WITH THE RARER COVER, VERY 1ST PRESSING VINYL AND ORIGINAL ‘PATENTS APPLIED FOR’ INNER.
